The Department of Czech for Foreigners offers the following short-term and long-term courses, which can be combined with and supplemented by other forms of study.

THE APPLICANT IS REQUIRED TO PAY THE BANK CHARGES

Applicants who require a visa and who are denied one will be refunded 75 % of the school-fee only if they send us confirmation that their visa was denied. The money will be returned by bank transfer only.
Applicants who cancel their participation in the Czech course before its beginning will be also be refunded 75 % of the school-fee.

Assessment

Courses will conclude with a final written exam in grammar, orthography, Czech life and history, lexical-stylistic exercises, conversation (essay) and an oral examination in conversation, phonetics and interpretation of a literary text (advanced students), depending on the level of study.

Certification of the results (for a given study level) including ECTS credits will be provided on the basis of these tests.

Intermediate I - III grammar + conversation + phonetics (+ creative writing + interpretation of a literary text)
Advanced I - V grammar + conversation + phonetics + orthography + lexical-stylistic exercises + Czech life and history (+ creative writing + interpretation of a literary text + translator seminar)
Very Advanced I - V grammar + conversation + phonetics + orthography + lexical-stylistic exercises + Czech life and history (+ creative writing + interpretation of a literary text + translator seminar)

Organization

Classes for total beginners are taught based on English.
